Joeys

Where and When ?
Normally the start time is 8:00 at Kelso,  but try to be there a bit earlier.

What comp are Joeys in ?

Joeys is an unofficial, non competitive introduction for young kids to soccer. It is played within Panania RSL Soccer Club, and not through the association. Kids do not play against other clubs or play at grounds other than Kelso.

What do the kids do ?

Each week the kids are split up into small teams of about 6. The number of teams is dependent on the number who turn up.

The kids are taught the rules of the game and given some guidance, but mostly it’s about kids having a fun “kick around”.

The games normally go for about 1/2 an hour.

What does my child need ?

The kids will require

Shirts will be provided for the kids to play in.

When is training ?

We don't train the joeys as we tried this a few years ago and we found it to be to hard for them and it gets very cold at night down at Kelso park in winter.

What if it rains ?

In the event of wet weather we will endeavour to give parents as much notice as possible of any cancellations. If it has been raining and you’re unsure if the games are on call the Bankstown Council’s Field Availability Line on 1300 655 180.

Anything else ?

We do not play though the school holidays.
