New and old team members alike attacked and defended well and demonstrated a genuine team effort for the first game of the season. They all passed with perfection with notable dribbling skills by Joel, Harry, Shauna, Jade, and Lachlan. Our midfielders Kahleah, Yodan, Arin, and Ben demonstrated their skills by passing with confidence to our strikers. There were also notable defense plays by Matthew, Nicholas, Sam and Max which resulted in the play never reaching the oppositions goal area and allowing Ian our goal keeper to have a very easy game. There were many attempts at goal which resulted in Joel scoring 4, Harry scoring 4 and Lachlan scoring 2. The player of the match was awarded to Joel for his speed and ball skills which saw him run rings around the opposition defenders. All in all a fantastic start to the season.
