On Saturday our team faced the pressure of knowing that we were on a 17 match losing streak that stretched back to July 2004. Our first match was against Revesby Workers. We got off to a bad start when Mick Costin chopped a bloke from behind in the box screamed blue murder that it wasn't him and after CSI Miami took some DNA samples Revesby converted from the spot to lead 1-0 with a strong wind behind them. That was the score at halftime but with the wind we dominated the second half. Despite going close it took till 15 minutes to go til Stass scored his first goal for us to level up the scores. A handball from them inside their box saw Holmesy - Mr Smooth step up and despite not hitting the penalty cleanly his placement was spot on and we led 2-1. We were determined to hold on to that lead and did so by playing with 10 defenders (only kidding), completing our first win since July 2004!!
