The game today was a good start to the season for both teams to settle into the competition in familiar surroundings playing each other at home. The match pretty well went according to plan with us winning. Well that was the plan for us anyway. You controlled the ball well and played well within yourselves. The game was a good struggle until half time with both teams locked at 0 � 0 despite repeated attempts from us that all just seemed to drift a little wide. It wasn�t long into the second half when Laura showed a little individual skill and ran through two or three defenders to place one past the keeper. About 10 minutes later Lauren not to be outdone copied the move and it worked again. The final result was written. A good game by all well done. I think we will take a while to get used to the no jewellery rule and the head bands that are now in vogue. Congratulations to Roys girls as well for putting up a good fight on the day.
