8 Pearls ( 3 ) Padstow Hornets ( 3 )
Matthew and Ben had their first attempt at goal for the season and both gave it their all. Cause WHAT A GAME it was!! It sure kept our kids on their toes, with Hornets scoring first and then JOSH B came straight back at them to match their goal, the RORY scored giving us the lead at half time. The second half was just attack and defend by both teams, not wanting to let either team score, but Hornets did, leaving us at 2 all until RORY followed suit and scored his second goal of the game. Unfortunately for us, but good for the opposition they scored again to make it a 3-3 draw. PEARLS, you have really come together as a team in just a short time and it was nice to hear you cheering each other on, even our newest member DANIEL Kotsapas who I see will be a valued asset to our team by the way he played and fitted in for his first game. Everyone gave 110% - great job Pearls. A thank you goes to Coopers dad for making himself available to us when he can both at games and training. Well Easter is upon us so have a safe and enjoyable holiday and we will all be back on the field at 8.30am at Neville on April 29. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Player of the week was Rory Fenton and McDonalds Award to Lachlan Black.
