16 B Ladies ( 0 )   Milperra Lions ( 12 )

When a coach turns up and hears the words we are sooo going to get flogged come from everyone in the team, he cant have two high hopes that things are going to go well. With no reserves and injuries, everyone went out onto that park expecting to loose, What the Girls dont understand is that to have the heart to face that is half the battle, and each and everyone of them has that heart. Regardless of the loss the girls all came off the park with a smile, and a laugh. All teams when they start out, start at the bottom of the table, its expected. As a team, the girls will grow and learn from each other. Its not talent or heart that they lack, its experience, and that will only come with time. I just hope they keep the heart to stay with it! Ashlea and Beck both had great games in goals, never giving up even when things seemed hard. Charmaine had some big hits as our sweeper, and it is possible to get the ball to the other end of the field as Leigh proved with a top run down the middle of the field. Everyone was starting to pass the ball rather then just closing their eyes and kicking it and with a bit more game experience the girls will get the hang of it. Our 2nd half keeper Beck gets player of the game, for someone who hasnt kept before, she showed absolutely no fear in charging down that ball, and who ever was about to kick it. Well done girls even though the score doesnt reflect it, you all did well, and things will only get better!

Ryan, Coach
