Ah the excitement of the first round of soccer. The sun was shining, birds were singing and if only we could come up with 11 players at kick off. Fortunately the rest of the team arrived after about 5 minutes and we were back to full strength. This was a good first game for us. It was scrappy in parts and some of our positional play was at times not good but there was also lots to be happy with. Our goal was scored by Melissa Jones in the first half after good movement of the ball out wide. The A's drew level just before half time and thankfully then it was time for oranges. After the break we had a couple of good shots at goal that were just high or just wide as did the other team with neither able to grab the lead and the end result was a draw. Well done all on a good first game!
