After a few washed out weekends and training sessions the boys and Rebekah finally got to play ball. I wasn�t too sure how we�d perform (after no training) but the boys and Rebekah proved that soccer is soccer whether it rains, hails or shines ... and it certainly shined on us this weekend with a 1-0 win scored by Nathan of a brilliant set up by Jake in the first half. With great passing and defence in both halves, the ball managed to stay in our half of the field most of the game. But when it did get it up Condell Park�s end, goalies Blake (1st half) and Matthew (2nd half) defeated all attempts by Condell Park to score. Blake received player of the match this week as his consistency as goalie has been exceptional and his keenness to out do himself in the field (just a few less tricks though Blake as Brock says) and encouragement award went to Jacob. You had a great game this weekend boys guys/girl. Keep it up.
