11-1's ( 2 )  St; Christophers ( 2 )
An excellent game of soccer that could have gone either way, with the draw a fair result. After several attacking waves in the first half went unrewarded, a pin-point corner from Gavin ended up in the goals. There is conjecture as to whether it was an own goal , but as far as I'm concerned it's one to Gav! Chrissies scored in reply to make it 1-1 at half-time, then mounted a lot of pressure in the second half. Despite turning them around time & again they eventually scored their second to take the lead with only a few minutes to go. With the northern English tones of coach Sean imploring the lads to fight to the death (well, the last whistle anyway) , suddenly all the action was directed towards the opposition goal but their defence was excellent. After yet another
scrambling session the ball was only partly cleared to Mark, who put through a speculator. A judicious dummy from their full back sufficiently confused the keeper to cause the ball to go through him to bring about the final scoreline. Great all round effort, with stand out performances from Dougie in goals, Jarrod in defence and David in midfield. On a personal note , seeing my little redhead running around again after a broken leg is bloody wonderful, good on ya Scotty!
