9-4's ( 0 )   Condell; Park ( 3 )

The game started off well enough with a couple of scoring opportunities but we regressed into some bad old habits in the latter period of the first half such as not staying in position and allowed Condell Park to sneak one past us and go to the half time break 0- 1 down. In the 2nd half we still wouldn't stay in our positions (Coach Phil specifically asked everyone to do so) and it was not uncommon to see up to 8 players standing near each other in various sections of the field. Condell Park had no problems making plenty of breaks into our territory and were able to score another 2 goals making it 0 - 3 at full time. Luke Newberry was the player of the match and stopped many attacking raids. Everyone in the team needs to be aware that staying in position makes it a lot easier to pass to each other, to mark the opposition players and to not get as tired by chasing the ball in a bunch all over the field. On the positive side we never gave up and chased the ball hard until the final whistle. We just need to be a bit smarter in where we position ourselves and how we clear the ball from the goal area.
