It is with a tear in my eye that I write the last report of the season. It has been an immensely enjoyable year for the kids and myself. The team really improved under Super-coach Chris with every game. The team was focussed for a big game. They had a steely look in their eyes and were determined to work hard and have fun. And have fun they did! There was not one stand out player as they all played equally well. Dylan in goals was superb and Zach, Dion and Liam at the back were defending well against a skillful Bankstown side. Ben, Chris, Luke and Connor were outstanding in the middle and Zahir and Mathew combined well up front. Nil all at half time was a good reflection on the closeness of the game. In the second half the game opened up. The Emeralds lifted a notch and had 3 quick goals to Zahir, Dion and Luke. Luke�s was a particularly impressive goal with great lead up work from Dion and the team. Connor then followed up with a special piece of work to get his first goal of the game. It was another sterling effort from a skillful and happy team. Well done boys and thanks for a great year!
